At 214 nm the amide bond dominates the response, so a peptide impurity is seen roughly in proportion to its size. 99.83 % on this detection is the conservative reading; a 280 nm trace would flatter it.

-0.9 ppm at this mass is a clean identity confirmation. With retention at 6.84 min, Selank is established as the species measured. Note what it does not exclude: a mass-identical diastereomer, which no mass measurement of any resolution can.
