AssayIndex

An open index of third-party analytical results for research peptides

Open AssayIndex collects assay reports submitted by buyers and laboratories, normalises them into one schema, and publishes each one as a record with its method, its provenance and its limitations attached. Rollups by batch, compound, supplier, lab and quarter are computed from those records and nothing else. The whole dataset is downloadable as CSV and JSON.

The two numbers that matter, and the one that does not

The index is blunt about this because the alternative is a reader drawing a conclusion the data cannot support.

Figure 1. Every purity figure in the index, 6,576 records. Compressed at the top, long left tail — which is why this site reports medians and interquartile ranges rather than means and standard deviations, and why the interesting question is the shape of that tail rather than the position of the peak.

Suppliers

Ordered by index coverage, which is a property of this dataset and not a claim about the suppliers. The comparison page has thirteen columns and a confidence flag on each row.

Detection

12 published rules, each with its literal predicate. A flag is not a finding of fault — several of these rules fire most often on records that are entirely fine, and each rule page says so.
