Purity at 99.40 % and water at 5.53 %: the two numbers are independent and both are needed. Excellent chromatography on a wet cake still yields less peptide per vial than the label implies.

Changing the ion-pairing additive changes selectivity on charged sequences more than changing the column does. It is the first thing to try on a stubborn close pair.
